Step 2: Pick Your Flower
Once you’ve chosen your tier, it’s time to browse strains! Head to our Flower Shop to explore the lineup of THCA hemp varieties.
You can purchase any available strain by the gram. When you add “1” to your cart, that is a single gram of that strain being added! If you’re a first-time buyer or not as familiar with standard cannabis sizes, here’s a cheat sheet:

But we’re getting ahead of ourselves! Right now, THCA hemp flower is getting a lot of attention. Some people call it “fake weed”, but the science behind the plant tells a different story.

What Exactly is THCA?
THCA (AKA, tetrahydrocannabinolic acid…we love abbreviations!) is the natural form of THC found in raw cannabis. On its own, it won’t get you high. But when you heat it, like lighting it on fire with your lighter, it converts into Delta-9 THC, which is the part of cannabis most people are familiar with. 😉
So when you light up hemp flower, you’re really activating all that THCA. That’s why checking the THCA percentage on labels matters more than just looking for THC or Delta-9 THC.
How is THCA Hemp Flower different than a recreational or medical cannabis dispensary?
Here’s the surprising part: it’s actually not very different.
The main distinction, legally, comes down to laws and taxes at the checkout. To qualify as “hemp” under United States federal law, flower has to test under 0.3% Delta-9 THC by dry weight.
There is no legal qualifier for how much or little THCA is in hemp flower. If you compare the labels at a THCA hemp flower dispensary versus a recreational or medical cannabis dispensary, some hemp strains test just as strong (or even higher).
Hemp flower = lower cost, including lower taxes, for a nearly identical effects. PLUS, there are no state restrictions for how much flower you can buy at a time!
The 2018 Farm Bill made hemp legal nationwide as long as it contains less than 0.3% Delta-9 THC by dry weight. Since THCA doesn’t count toward that limit (it doesn’t turn into Delta-9 THC until you apply heat!) THCA rich hemp flower fits the definition of hemp…meaning you can order away!
