Mood Drinks, With Benefits – Meet Your Moment with Elixirs
If you’ve sipped a CURRNT THC drink before, you already know they’re made to make you feel good, inside and out. But, if you haven’t tried our CURRNT Elixirs, you’re missing out on a whole new level.
Sparkling like a seltzer, CURRNT Elixirs are crafted with adaptogens and mood-specific cannabinoids to help you dial in where you want to go. Whether that’s a calm focus, deep relaxation, or something in between!
What Are Adaptogens, Anyway?
Adaptogens are natural plant extracts and herbs that are known to help your body handle everyday stressors. They don’t force a certain feeling, rather they support your body in adapting to whatever life throws your way.
That’s why when we were developing CURRNT THC drinks, it made perfect sense to combine powerful adaptogens with THC and cannabinoids CBG and CBN. Together, they create a balanced experience that supports your mood, mind, and overall well-being.
Why We Call Them “Elixirs”
CURRNT Elixirs are designed with a little extra intention, blending cannabinoids and adaptogens with THC to help support your natural rhythm and elevate everyday moments.
They’re not here to replace your favorite THC-only CURRNT, they’re here to add to the experience! Because they’re mood-specific, they’re a go-to when you want more connection, calm, or clarity in the mix.
These aren’t about escaping your day, they’re about enhancing it!
Each Elixir is a gentle reminder to tune in, recharge and lift yourself up…whatever that looks like for you!
Most of us think of THC as one single acronym – it’s the thing that gets you high, right? But THCA and THC are legally distinct, even though one turns into the other with the application of heat.
But we’re getting ahead of ourselves! Right now, THCA hemp flower is getting a lot of attention. Some people call it “fake weed”, but the science behind the plant tells a different story.
Keep reading to learn more!
What Exactly is THCA?
THCA (AKA, tetrahydrocannabinolic acid…we love abbreviations!) is the natural form of THC found in raw cannabis. On its own, it won’t get you high. But when you heat it, like lighting it on fire with your lighter, it converts into Delta-9 THC, which is the part of cannabis most people are familiar with. 😉
So when you light up hemp flower, you’re really activating all that THCA. That’s why checking the THCA percentage on labels matters more than just looking for THC or Delta-9 THC.
How is THCA Hemp Flower different than a recreational or medical cannabis dispensary?
Here’s the surprising part: it’s actually not very different.
The main distinction, legally, comes down to laws and taxes at the checkout. To qualify as “hemp” under United States federal law, flower has to test under 0.3% Delta-9 THC by dry weight.
There is no legal qualifier for how much or little THCA is in hemp flower. If you compare the labels at a THCA hemp flower dispensary versus a recreational or medical cannabis dispensary, some hemp strains test just as strong (or even higher).
Hemp flower = lower cost, including lower taxes, for a nearly identical effects. PLUS, there are no state restrictions for how much flower you can buy at a time!
The 2018 Farm Bill made hemp legal nationwide as long as it contains less than 0.3% Delta-9 THC by dry weight. Since THCA doesn’t count toward that limit (it doesn’t turn into Delta-9 THC until you apply heat!) THCA rich hemp flower fits the definition of hemp…meaning you can order away!

If you’ve scrolled through our online cannabis dispensary and wondered, “Wait, how is it legal for me to order cannabis flower online?“, you’re not the only one! With so many rules around cannabis, it can feel overwhelming to figure out what’s allowed.
The good news? Thanks to hemp laws, you can legally buy THCA flower online in many states with no restrictions on the amount you can buy, and a more affordable price with lower taxes. Below is what you need to know before checking out!
This guide explains:
What THCA is and why it’s different than THC

What is THCA Flower, and How is it Legal to Buy Online?
THCA (or tetrahydrocannabinolic acid…this is why we shorten it 😉) is the raw, natural form of THC found in cannabis flower. By itself it’s technically non-intoxicating, but when you introduce HEAT (aka the flame from your lighter) it turns into THC, which gets you high.
When you smoke, vape, or bake with hemp flower that has a THCA content, it converts into Delta-9 THC.
Why is this important for buying flower online?
Because hemp laws regulate cannabis based on Delta-9 THC only, not THCA. As long as the flower contains less than 0.3% Delta-9 THC by dry weight, it qualifies as hemp. That’s why hemp THCA flower can be sold online and shipped directly to you!
Hemp vs Marijuana: Legally Distinct
Your ability to order hemp flower online comes directly from the 2018 Farm Bill, which legalized hemp across the United States. It says:
Hemp is cannabis with 0.3% Delta-9 THC or less
Marijuana is cannabis with more than 0.3% Delta-9 THC content
RiverBluff Collective THCA flower is grown from hemp plants that meet the 0.3% THC by dry weight limit, legally making it “hemp” under the United States federal law.
Our flower looks, smells and smokes like traditional cannabis because…well, it is! But the law defines it federally as hemp, making it possible for you to purchase cannabis online for home delivery.
Which States Can You Buy Cannabis Online?

Origin of Labor Day
In the late 1800’s with the rise of unions and the labor movements of the time, the leaders of these groups took inspiration for days celebrating labor in Canada and began celebrating various labor days around the country. Most historians trace Labor Day back to September of 1882; however, two men sharing similar names and jobs are often credited with its invention. The most commonly accepted origin of the holiday is accredited to Matthew Maguire, secretary of the Central Labor Union of New York. The other accepted origin of Labor Day is accredited to Peter J. McGuire, the president of the American Federation of Labor. Regardless of who originated the holiday, its intentions didn’t vary. Labor Day is meant to celebrate the hard work people put in over the year and spend some extra time with family and friends. In its early days, unions and companies would throw picnics for workers and families to enjoy and relax.
When Labor Day Became a Recognized Holiday
Oregon became the first state to recognize Labor Day as a holiday in 1887. By 1894, a majority of states had adopted Labor Day. In that same year Congress passed legislation to make Labor Day an official federal holiday and it was signed into law by President Grover Clevland. This was a first step but not in the right direction as the holiday only applied to federal workers and alienated the workers who had fought for it. That alienation led to continued strikes into the 1930’s, until all workers were allowed the day off or holiday pay when Labor Day was changed from a federal holiday to a statutory holiday by the individual states.

THC based drinks and health-oriented beverages are quickly growing markets and highly sought after products. The THC drink market alone was valued at $2.04 Billion in 2023 and is expected to increase to over $100 Billion by 2032. A few companies have been bold enough to venture into crossing the two together by adding adaptogens to their THC-based beverages. Adaptogens have been used for centuries by various cultures and are increasing in popularity in the United States. Keep readings to learn about what Reishi, Ashwagandha, and L-theanine do and how they may help aid your overall health. So, kick back in the cut, fire one up, and let’s learn about some crazy new weed drink stuff.
What is Reish and what does it do?
Reishi, also known as Lingzhi, is generally found in eastern parts of Asia. Reishi has been used in traditional Chinese medicine for over 2000 years and is commonly referred to as the “Mushroom of Immortality”. Reishi contains a wide array of phytochemicals, including triterpenes. Triterpenes are similar to steroid hormones and are believed to help increase general lifespan. In traditional Chinese medicine, it is used to treat a variety of ailments and is believed to be a form of cancer prevention and treatment, though no evidence has been brought forth to support these claims. Even if there is a slight chance that it can help promote long life and prevent cancer, it is worth a shot! Most people today use it to boost immunity and reduce stress.
What is Ashwagandha and what does it do?
Ashwagandha is a shrub normally found in drier Middle Eastern countries. Its scientific name, Withania Somnifera, sounds like a potent spell from the Potterverse. Somnifera comes from Latin, meaning sleep inducing and Ashwagandha is Sanskrit meaning horse smell, as the root of the plant has a pungent odor. It has been used in traditional Indian medicine for centuries and is a beautiful evergreen shrub sometimes called winter cherry. It is used to help treat stress, anxiety, and restless sleep and is currently undergoing research toward its effectiveness, but clinical evidence is currently insufficient to confirm its ability as a treatment.
What is L-theanine and what does it do? L-theanine is an amino acid produced by some species of tea and fungi (mushrooms). It has been used to help aid with anxiety, stress, cognitive performance, improving sleep quality, and alleviating menstrual cramps, though there is a lack of clinical evidence to refute or confirm these claims. A 2020 controlled systematic review suggested that L-theanine was more effective than a placebo in treating anxiety disorders, ADHD, and schizophrenia. Its potential use to help regulate brain chemistry is fascinating.
Go with the Flow
The trend in beverages is leading away from alcohol and toward healthier options, and at a rate that would be difficult for the big alcohol companies to combat. Vapes and disposable vapes continue to grow in popularity among cannaconsumers, yet many fans have a difficult time getting their vape to work at maximum efficiency. This leads to annoying experiences at the worst times but most of these can be avoided by following some simple rules for vapes and knowing your voltage settings, what they do and what one best suits your individual needs. Having a vape that works properly will save you both time and money. So, kick back in the cut, fire one up, and let’s learn about some vape stuff.
Lower Settings
Lower voltage settings are meant for three types of people, those with lower tolerances, those with sensitive lungs, and those looking to stay incognito while consuming. Lower voltage settings produce smaller clouds of vapor. This makes it easy to control dosage, test your lung capacity for vapor, and exhale very little vapor. The downside to lower temps is people believe if they inhale harder, they will get a bigger cloud. This is not the case and will just lead to clogged vapes. No matter the voltage always inhale at the same pace as a normal breath.
Medium Settings
Medium voltage settings are where most consumers should be living. It gives you the most comparable experience to smoking. It also serves as a testing voltage to see if you need the lower or higher settings. It really is baby bear’s bowl of porridge, just right. That is not to say there is no downside. Because it is the most akin to a traditional smoking experience people often tend to hit it more rapidly than needed. This causes the distillate to be pulled into the drawing port and can cause clogs. Just remember to give your vape a little break between hits and you should have clear sailing!
High Settings
High voltage settings are the most rarely needed by consumers. Unless you are vaping an extremely thick oil, the only use for high settings is for flexing with big clouds or doing cloud tricks to impress people. Using too high of a voltage setting leads to most vape clogs, so unless you can blow a smoke cloud shaped like a boat as though you were Gandalf in Lord of the Rings, it is best to keep it at a lower setting. Besides leading to clogs, it is also very wasteful as you will burn through your vape much faster without seeing a marked increase in your experience,
Yes, They Do Matter
Now that you have a better understanding of the different usage of voltage settings on vapes, you are better equipped to fend off the pit falls of vaping. If you use disposable vapes, please consider switching to cartridges. Remember each disposable thrown in the trash puts another battery in a landfill somewhere. Be kind to the planet and it will be kind to you. To stay up to date with all things RiverBluff Collection SIGN UP for email group to be in the know.
